Are You A Real Mum?
In Pink Apple’s last post, I was telling you about being featured in the March edition of Clicks Plus magazine.
Also interviewed in this edition is my pal Mad Cow.
No! I’m not being
rude! Mad Cow (aka Amanda Cox of www.realmums.com.au) is what she
calls herself as she goes about being honest about what it’s like to be
a Real Mum. Her blog, Diary of a Mad Cow regularly has me chortling away at my desk! It is one of my must-reads and you’ll notice it’s there, on the right of the screen, in my permanent blogroll/"Connections" list.
In fact go on over to her site if you are a mother. It’s
real, it’s funny, it’s a chance to have a whinge, it’s a chance to get
advice, it’s the most normalizing take on motherhood I’ve ever come
across! It’s motherhood, warts and all! With a teensy-weensy bit of
sarcasm, the occasional expletive, and heaps of humour to remind us all
how real we are!
While you’re visiting Real Mums, make sure you nominate yourself or
someone else worthy for the Real Mums Awards to be announced at the
Mum’s Night Out on May 12th Mother’s Day Eve. Of course, YOU deserve an award!
Mad Cow’s next project is one I have a keen interest in. She’s taking the Real Mum’s concept offline and planning some big changes through her new baby, Bad Mother’s Club. The focus is less on the parenting and mostly on YOU! Hew new website for Bad Mother’s Club is launched, so go have a play over there as well!
