In my dreams, I have a plan …

I CAN’T stop it!  I wake up in the middle of the night and it’s still going!

It’s just endlessly running through my head, like a CD player that’s selected one song and hit the repeat button!

I work all night, I work all day, to pay the bills I have to pay

Ain’t it sad

And still there never seems to be a single penny left for me
That’s too bad
In my dreams I have a plan
If I got me a wealthy man

I wouldn’t have to work at all, I’d fool around and have a ball…

Mamma_mia_3You see I went to see Mamma Mia The Movie the other night.  Real Mum’s organised a girl’s night out at a
chick flick, preceded by a glass of bubbles.  How could I resist?

You’d never have dragged me along to the musical, and it’s not that I’m too sophisticated to like a bit of Abba!  (They’re so much a part of so many of us growing up, it’s hard to resist singing the odd Abba tune, isn’t it?)  I just wasn’t interested enough to bother going to the stage show.  But a ticket to the movies is a cheap alternative when you feel unsure if you’ll even LIKE it.

But I walked out of the movie having had a smile etched on my face for two hours.  I felt good.  You can’t fault that!

Yes the storyline is implausible, and Pierce Brosnan REALLY should NEVER EVER sing again in public, but it all added to the fun of it.  And, my GOD – the scenery is stunningly enticing!  Ensured that the Greek Islands went to the top of my holiday list!

So I say if you’re feeling a bit low, it’s a perfect tonic.

As long as you can stop the CD player in your head afterwards!

  1. I had been wondering about this movie, and you’ve helped make up my mind. It sounds like fun. But now that song is stuck in my head!
