Is This You?

Chris_sukaHi! Chris Owen here!

Not sure why you're here? Just know something is not quite right for you?

Not sure if you've got a problem or not?

At Pink Apple, we are passionate about helping people to find ways to talk to each other about the important things - and helping you put the zing back into your life, and the spark back into your relationship.

What the hell does that mean?

We firmly believe that a dose of disillusionment is a good thing!

It's there to tell you that your heart and mind want more than what they're getting right now!  And who knows YOU better than your own heart and mind?

So why aren't you taking action?

It's OK!  Don't whip yourself!  It's simply because you're not sure HOW, or perhaps WHERE to start.

That's where Pink Apple comes in!

Are YOU asking yourself "Is this all there is, in my relationship with _______?"  Then Pink Apple has got some more questions for you.

Or is the problem more to do with you alone?  Just know you're dissatisfied with what life's dealing up to you at the moment?

Why not browse through some of the blog posts on this site and see if Pink Apple is talking in your language and about your problems.  You can subscribe to Pink Apple's newsletter at the top of this page.  Or if you're more technically inclined, why not receive the RSS feed for the Take A Bite blog?

About Chris Owen

Hi! I'm Chris Owen and welcome to Pink Apple Connections, based in Melbourne Australia.

Well that's the introduction, but a name tells you nothing about a person. So, if you've got a niggling problem, and you thought I might be able to help, why not get to know me, by reading on?

I COULD tell you about my work with couples as an obstetrics nurse and an infertility nurse, or even my university grades in education and counselling. I could tell you about my coaching training and my successful, satisfied clients.

But what's the point?

I know, when I'm exploring solutions to a problem, I have to "feel" confident that person is right for me. I'm pretty wary of shysters and super-salespeople! I need to be a good "fit" with people, both clients and suppliers.

Really, relationships of all kinds are the most important thing in my world. I'd be lost without my husband / soulmate, my three sons, and my extended family, as well as my friends.

Chris_rug_2

How lucky can I be, getting to nurture individual and business relationships and help others to do the same?

Along my life's journey, as an "outrageous extravert", I've had some wonderful people in my world. But, you know, I've also made some mighty stupid mistakes in relationships with friends, family, and business colleagues, over the years. So there's no pedestal under my feet.

As I tell you of my mistakes, I still feel the odd twinge of embarrassment and the occasional cringe! Especially when I recall how I lost a close friend through a thoughtless conversation. Several years later, I'm still regretful, but I learned a lot from taking responsibility for so carelessly wounding another.

I think that people believe relationships are as deletable as the items in the Recycle Bin.

I'm positive they're not! Deletable relationships are not for me.

Closed ones? Yes, as long as they're finished with integrity.

I'm proud that when I went into a business relationship with a good friend, we agreed to keep the friendship as the first priority. The business went, so we could still be friends. More hurts and lessons? Yes, but no shame or loss, because we'd got our priorities and values right!

The biggest struggle in relationships of all kinds is not the theory that we should nurture our relationships, but the question "How".

So it's a fellow traveller with a knack for helping who's sitting on the other end of the email or the phone, waiting to hear from YOU.
